On December 30, 2009, due to the holiday shipping schedule, Diamond will be unable to deliver retailers their weekly shipments of new comics. There are, however, benefits to this besides giving retailers some holiday recovery time and a billing break. While not having the normal amount of new books to stock on shelves may seem off-putting at first, it presents retailers with an opportunity to direct customers to try something new.
