SUMMARY:Sons of Anarchy Creator\, Kurt Sutter\, Signing Lucas Stand
DESCRIPTION:Meet Sons of Anarchy creator KURT SUTTER in his first signing at a comic book store! We scheduled this event to coincide with LUCAS STAND #1\, but had to postpone\, but here we have it! Wednesday\, August 17\, just in time for the release of LUCAS STAND #3!\nLucas Stand is a military vet who can’t reintegrate into society and has emotionally cut himself off from the people he loves. At his lowest\, Lucas does something he can’t take back. Hell comes calling\, offering him the opportunity to make things right. Demons escaping Hell are upsetting the balance of evil\, and now Lucifer has recruited Lucas to send them back. It doesn’t matter in what era the demons escape—World War II\, old-timey Hollywood\, Vietnam\, present day—he must learn to fit in both the past and the present. Given new purpose\, Lucas starts to rebuild himself and his life\, even as he struggles at the human cost that comes with it. \nBuy the book! Meet the man! Get the book signed!

SUMMARY:Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman Table Read
DESCRIPTION:Play it again\, Sam! We’re reprising our table read of JOSS WHEDON’S WONDER WOMAN for WHEDONOPOLIS 2016\, a convention that celebrates all things Joss Whedon!\nLast year\, we got our hands on Joss Whedon’s script that he wrote in 2007. We performed the table read at The Comic Bug last December with actress/Wonder Woman cosplayer Jennifer Wenger in the starring role. Steve Trevor was brought to life by Curtis Fortier\, who also blocked out and directed the piece. Narration is provided at a lightning pace by Adam Marcus and there is sound design and musical score provided by Chris Saunders of the Thirsty Crowes! \nThe cast is rounded out by Rafael Navarro\, Eddie Jordan III\, Kate Enggren\, Tracy Drolet\, Scott Koblish\, Debra Sullivan and Mike Wellman. \nThe entire cast returns to bring WONDER WOMAN to life for attendees of WHEDONOPOLIS 2016 in full costume! This is a fun and rare opportunity to see what COULD have been! \nTickets for Whedonopolis 2016 are $20 for adults and $15 for kids under 13. Check out their website www.whedoncon.com to see all the exciting guests and activities they have planned for the weekend!

SUMMARY:Journey to Venus with Rick Loverd & Filip Sablik
DESCRIPTION:In 2150\, Earth’s resources are depleted\, and countries race to outer space to mine what they need from other planets. China has laid claim to Mars\, so the U.S. and its allies have to make do with getting what it needs from the inhospitable world of Venus. But for a group of Americans making its way there\, survival has become all too real. After their ship crash-lands on the planet\, the scrappy crew is forced to do whatever it takes to navigate the harsh landscape in their journey to find the science base they were flying toward. In the vein of great adventure survival stories like Lost and The Martian\, there’s only one reality on Venus—adapt or die.\nMeet writers RICK LOVERD and FILIP SABLIK and partake in a special Q&A afterwards with genuine SCIENTISTS about the scientific accuracy of VENUS! A mind-bending evening awaits you!
